SUMMARY:Poster Making with Careful Now! Collective
DESCRIPTION:TicketsPosters have a venerable history as the crossroads of art and politics\, creating understanding and solidarity. It was then: Paris in ’68\, the Vietnam War\, it is now: Occupy\, Extinction Rebellion. \nCareful Now! Collective are creating a space to practice with basic artistic techniques to help keep the art of DIY poster-making alive. There’ll be some pre-made stencils ready to use\, but you’ll be learning to make your own with two techniques – ‘negative’ stencil cuts and lino\, which combine beautifully. You’ll also get tips for how to do this at home with basic DIY equipment. \nOur workshops are pay-what-you-can – we recommend £4 but no-one will be turned away through lack of funds. Book your timeslot (14:00\, 15:00 or 16:00) in advance or drop in and pay on the door if there are spaces left. \nUse our materials\, share some knowledge if you want (each one\, teach one)\, make a poster with us.
