DESCRIPTION:TicketsThe People’s Comedy formed in 2018 with the aim of platforming comedians with a message (think counter-culture\, alternative\, original) and ensuring that they’re paid for their craft. \nThis summer night we’re hoping to utilise the sunny weather in the People’s Republic of Stokes Croft yard\, subject to the sun being out of course! \n✔ Winner – Best Themed Comedy Night in the UK outside of London (Chortle\, 2023)\n✔ Nominated Best Themed night in the UK (Chortle\, 2020)\n✔ Raised thousands of pounds for comedians paid in-line with our equal pay structure \nMel Owen (Channel 4\, BBC Wales\, Comedy Smash winner)\nHenry Palmer (“form breakingly funny” – Bristol Punchline)\nQin Wang (London Comedy Store)\nMark Hurnan (“intelligent\, clever comedy” – Moonrakers Comedy) \nMC’d by the truly great Greg Winfield (TikTok; has written for BBC’s ‘Mock the Week’ and Comedy Central’s ‘Roast Battle’)\n+ more \nTPC not only platforms the original\, the didactic\, the revolutionary\, but ensures each act is rightfully paid for their craft. \nDoors & bar open at 7.00pm\, show starts promptly at 7.30pm.
