SUMMARY:Blame of Thrones
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\nAn improv comedy show!\nAs the Monarch lingers on their deathbed\, who will seize the crown to become the all-powerful successor? \nBlame of Thrones is a razor-sharp improvised political court drama that fuses the grandeur of historical intrigue with the unpredictable hilarity of live comedy. Each performance is a one-of-a-kind spectacle\, conjured entirely from audience suggestions and the twisted imaginations of our cast. \nWhether you’re a history buff\, a theatre lover\, or simply someone who enjoys watching aristocrats squabble over imaginary kingdoms\, Blame of Thrones delivers a night of drama\, comedy\, and courtly chaos that will leave you wondering: who really holds the power—and who’s just holding the blame? \n“Eloquent and intelligent…heated and humorous.” – Everyday Magazine

SUMMARY:Mockumentary Now & Impromptwo
DESCRIPTION:TicketsStrap yourselves in for a night of deep laughs\, high emotions and knockout entertainment with this unique double header of Mockumentary Now and Impromptwo. \nWe all have our favourite mockumentary from Christopher Guest’s cannon to The Office\, Parks and Recreation and many more. Watch a new Mockumentary unfold and unravel as Bristol’s best bring some serious belly laughs to the PRSC for one night only! \nJoining them and last seen in Bristol in 2024\, we are delighted to welcome ImprompTwo. Fresh from standing ovations across Europe\, they bring a magic to the stage that will leave you wrapped in a blanket of funny wonder. \nImprompTwo is not your average improv troupe. Known for their emotionally resonant\, intimate\, and often hilarious performances\, this duo takes improvised theatre to a new level—one where vulnerability\, timing\, and chemistry drive the story just as much as wit and spontaneity. Over the past seven years\, Kathy and Joe Rinaldi have brought their unique form of improv to festivals around the world\, most recently in Oslo\, Liverpool\, Lisbon\, and Nottingham. They bring decades of experience in theatre and performance from New York to Canada\, blending a deep understanding of storytelling with a vibrant\, theatrical approach to improvisation.

SUMMARY:Blue Metaphor Presents: Stories Beyond the Veil
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\nBlue Metaphor presents “Stories beyond the Veil”\, the third of a series of themed events bringing all art forms together\, with filmmaking at the centre.\nLed by Bristol -based producer and director Sheherazade Bodin and owner of Blue Metaphor Ltd\, an independent production company aiming to help filmmakers\, writers and any creative voices develop their projects portraying social and/or cultural matters.\n\nThis event is open to all creatives\, those with passion projects looking for production support and any art lovers! \nScreenings and Q&A \n“Echoes”\, a short drama portraying grief and loss\, written and directed by Fiona Kruschnik and produced by Normal Girl Production. \n“Today would’ve been Lily’s Birthday and her best friend Flo\, her older brother Ben\, and her partner Pete meet up to celebrate at her favourite café. This is the first time they have seen each other\, since Lily’s death months ago. Trying to overcome the distance and awkwardness between them\, Flo\, Pete\, and Ben become painfully aware that the only reason they ever had anything to do with each other was Lily.” \nQ&A with Fiona Kruschnik (writer/director)\, Jasmin Batler (producer)\, Casey Raos (director of photography) and Hannah (actress) \n“Ghost Story“\, a drama/horror short written and directed by Daniel Granville \n“Following the sudden death of their long-term and much-too-depended-upon counsellor\, a couple in their 50s take a chaotic stab at rebalancing their relationship\, while grappling with their own mortality” \nQ&A with Daniel Granville (writer/director)\, Joseph Akelakun (producer/actor) and Luke Frsh (director of photography) \n“Bone Marrow Soup“\, an experimental film about an autobiographical journey through years worth of brutality and beauty by Lara Angelina \n“An exploration into the mind in recovery; mourning past versions of yourself and the painful process of shedding old skin behind in order to adorn a new one” \nFollowed by the reading of a note left by the filmmaker \n“Love + Death“\, an experimental film by A1 Vanguard \n“The story talks about love but with a close affinity with Death causing the character to receive love for what it is and yet he is willing to surrender all for it” \nQ&A with A1 Vanguard (Director\, Producer\, Actor and Poet) \nPerformances \nCerulean : “[no] good grief” // Participatory performance \n[no] good grief is Cerulean’s (not so) final Hurrah. It is a celebration\, it is a party\, it is a Funeral. \nAn experiment for mourning in community\, it is a plea to remind the audience that they need not grieve alone. Not all deaths are equal and not everyone gets the after-death process that they want or deserve. This show intends to explore the audience as a necessary participant in the very sad (we are all very sad to hear about the) passing of Cerulean and to test the limits of silence at a wake. \nExploring themes of morality\, Queerness and care from the perspective of a Trans\, working class performer who is certain they will die (if not now then) soon. This is a show for audiences who may one day die…. oh\, wait\, that’s everyone. \nNetworking \nFor filmmakers\, creatives and everyone in between\, we are offering an hour of networking\, a valuable opportunity to deepdive into other projects around the city\, whilst enjoying our art exhibition. \nExhibition \n“Abjection” by artist Lansdall \n“Abjection draws me towards the place where meaning collapses” – Julia Kristeva \nDeath lies on the threshold between two states of being. A fleeting moment of oblivion at the advent of change. In the physical sense\, it is annihilation. Spiritually however\, it is the step towards rebirth and personal growth. This juxtaposition between death and life creates a paradox within us\, where for many in the western world\, the fear of death subtly overlaps with the fear of change. But to truly develop\, that fear must be accepted. This is what we explore in this exhibition; the complex\, intertwining relationships between themes of death\, loss\, rebirth\, and self-fulfilment. \nFood & Drink \nThis event is non-alcoholic. Hot drinks and soft drinks will be available\, along with snacks\, pastries and more. Free popcorn for everyone! \nDoors open at 6pm until 10.30pm \n\nEarlybird tickets £8 / Regular tickets £10 / Late tickets £12

SUMMARY:FOCUS CONGO
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\n\nPresented by BadApple\, Friends of Congo\, School of Activism & SOLiD\nAfter the powerful success of our first event\, Focus on Congo returns for Round 2\, this time at the People’s Republic of Stokes Croft. \nOn this night\, we gather once again in solidarity with the Congolese people\, raising funds for Focus Congo\, an organisation working directly with families impacted by the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo. \nThis fundraiser will bring together activists\, artists\, speakers\, and the Bristol community for an evening of food\, culture\, and action. \nWHAT TO EXPECT \nTalks & Panel Discussions:\nFeaturing Bad Apple\, shedding light on corporate exploitation and the urgent need to boycott Apple for its role in Congo’s cobalt crisis. Friends of Congo and the School of Activism will also lead conversations\, alongside speakers from Congo including author Lildonia Lawrence\, sharing insights from her book Back Yourself: A Self-Care Guide to Healing from Racial Trauma. \nPoetry & Performance:\nWith powerful contributions from Poet Lawrence Hoo and local performers using art to amplify truth. \nCultural Food & Merchandise:\nEnjoy freshly made African cuisine\, and explore new fundraiser merchandise — including badges\, posters\, and stickers\, with all proceeds going to Focus Congo. \nCommunity Energy:\nExpect a night of solidarity\, reflection\, and cultural celebration\, designed not only to raise funds but to deepen awareness of Congo’s struggles and resilience. \nWhy it matters:\nCongo is at the heart of the global tech economy\, providing the majority of the world’s cobalt — a key mineral in phones\, laptops\, and electric cars. Behind these devices lies a story of exploitation\, child labour\, displacement\, and political violence. Yet the people of Congo continue to resist\, organise\, and survive. \nBy coming together\, we show that Bristol is not silent. We stand in solidarity\, we educate ourselves and each other\, and we raise real funds that will have a direct impact on Congolese families through Focus Congo. \nThe struggle in Congo is global\, and so is our solidarity. Join us for a night of community\, creativity\, and commitment. \nGoFundMe link: https://gofund.me/d5d030840 \nEntry requirements: no age restrictions

SUMMARY:The Improv Spotlight
DESCRIPTION:Tickets\nA night showcasing the very best of local talent in the Bristol improv community.\nJoin us for a night of spontaneous laughter at The Improv Spotlight. Immerse yourself in the world of unscripted comedy as two talented groups from our vibrant community take centre stage. These groups will weave unique stories\, characters\, and humour on the spot for your entertainment. The Spotlight highlights the spontaneous comedy of improvised theatre and proudly showcases the diverse skills of local troupes and artists within our community. \nDoors at 7pm. Show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are Pay What You Can with a minimum of £8. \nThis month under the Spotlight… \n*The Grumpkins*\nBristol-based improvisers Emma T and Pete Leaman make up the semi-mythical and all-magical duo The Grumpkins. \nTheir (very) potentially ground-breaking masterpiece of a show may feature anything from adventure\, romance\, aliens\, angels\, demons\, knights\, drama\, mystery\, intrigue and a well-crafted gritty limited streaming series about a mismatched pair of detectives. It could also feature two construction workers talking about their favorite types of pie. \nWhat will they do? We don’t know.\nWhere did they come from? Cotton-eye Joe. \n*The Red Room*\nImmerse yourself in a David Lynch inspired show\, depicting a quant middle-american town where the spectre of death has passed through and torn apart the lives of each and every member of this community. Hearts break\, hopes are born and passions ignite for these souls touched by loss. \nFor your viewing pleasure: an absurd and entirely improvised experience that will expose you to both the comedic highs and the tragic lows of these all too human characters.\nContent Warning: May contain descriptions of death and other adult themes. \nEntry requirements: no age restrictions (under 18s must be accompanied).

As Executive Director of Al Nasser Charitable\, Ibrahim leads efforts to provide essential support\, including food parcels\, health kits\, drinking water\, tent camps\, and hot meals for displaced communities. All proceeds will help those who have had their homes detroyed\, providing them with essential support as they continue to live in tents while working to rebuild their lives. \nWhat to Expect: \nArt & Exhibitions\nGuests are invited to immerse themselves in the local art and exhibitions provided by South West England’s most promising young artists. Silent bidding will run throughout the evening and an open auction for art pieces will be carried out at 9:00pm – the highest of which will be donated directly to Ibrahim and his family. \nPoetry\nRiveting poetry set to bring chills and set heart ablaze is to be expected from this event. With Sonder Spoken Word on board to asssist in curation and ensure the most poignant individuals are represented here\, there’s no doubt the passions will be ignited through this rhythmic contribution. \nLive Entertainment\nWe’re very lucky and honoured to have some of the best in Bristol up and coming talent join us in provining a cascade of soothing melodies to soothe the evening and ease our transitions between the showcases which this evening will be graced with. From indie-folk artists to spoken word performances\, the soundtrack of the evening promises to be one which will soothe the soul. \nFood by Bristol Solidarity Cafe. \nLet’s come together to make a direct contribution as we recognise the power of art\, culture\, and collective action.
