Last October, without prior discussion of any kind, Bristol City council served legal papers on The Bearpit Improvement Group (BIG) and Peoples Republic of Stokes Croft (PRSC) for removal of all assets (including the bear sculpture, performance space, and community facilities) from the Bearpit by the 19th of January 2019. This summer (weather permitting) PRSC will be opening our yard every other Saturday afternoon for a community paint jam. We will be painting, listening to music and generally enjoying the sunshine. Come get your hands dirty make a big drawing, paint a board or on our practice wall. These afternoons will be free entry and open to all. Paints, rollers and boiler suits provided. Kids, pets and families welcome. Donations for materials appreciated.
