SUMMARY:A Roadmap of Resurgence – What can we learn from creative and community spaces around Europe?
DESCRIPTION:Tracing 12 countries and almost 30 projects\, this is a talk and discussion about how creative and cultural spaces can be catalysts for regenerating our communities and the infrastructure we need to thrive. \nGroups and organisations are reclaiming spaces and developing community and cultural centres all over Europe. Between October 2019 and mid January 2020\, facilitator and activist Danny Balla visited a diverse range of groups and collectives across Europe\, exploring the projects and spaces they’ve created. A Roadmap of Resurgence is a presentation reflecting on how\, at a time when we are politically moving away from Europe\, the struggles and pressures we are experiencing in the UK and the EU are closer than ever.  The cultural\, political\, social and economic circumstances of each project have generated unique responses and solutions that are useful to us all. \nFrom autonomous collectives and squats in Milan to municipally funded cultural spaces in Ghent and Zurich\, to intentional communities in Portugal and France – come and participate in the story of a growing movement that is fostering real systemic change and empowering community-led resurgence in the face of corporate gentrification and increasing capitalist hegemony. \nGeneral Tickets – £5.00\nPay What You Feel – £1.00\nhttps://ticketpass.org/event/ESKKWG-a-roadmap-of-resurgence
