We’re looking for people to run art workshops! Got an idea? Give us a shout.

Our weekly free People’s Art Club & Community Drop-in (PAC) has been running for almost seven years now. We’ve offered free creative workshops ranging from billboard-sized collages (installed in St Werburghs), to Da-da-esque performance art on Turbo Island, and the more traditional (but none-the-less important and widely appreciated) pencil drawing still life, plus things like origami, sculpture, sock puppetry, printing and more. There’s no obligation to get creative, attendees are just as welcome to join us for free hot drinks, snacks, and a sheltered space to sit down and chat.

A few months ago the last round of PAC funding we’d secured ran out, so we’re back to a fully voluntary set-up. For those that haven’t been before, it’s a pretty casual affair, but this makes it perfect to work out an idea for a workshop without the pressure of a large group of paying customers! Our regulars are a friendly bunch, willing to get stuck into a wide range of creative activities.
We Need You!
We have space, we have LOADS of art materials, and we have people keen to get creative with you! If you’ve got an idea for a creative workshop, from the traditional through to the obscure and absurd, we’d love to hear from you – either come along to one of the Tuesday afternoon sessions (2-4pm every week), or email email hidden; JavaScript is required
