Beyond the Elephant, a new Bristol based theatre company, is here with its first show, ‘Coldharbour Lane’ by Ella Alalade.

Set in 1981, a local resident has just been killed in the Brixton Riots. Three teenagers: Sam, Nadia and Daniel are thrown together as they struggle to find their place in an uncertain world, which is changing all around them.
15 years later they return, to see Mandela walk through Brixton, after his freedom 2 years before. Yet has anything really changed? Were all those people’s deaths meaningless? And what does the future hold for their community?
