We love how much PAF has been growing, but with 80+ artists getting involved it definitely makes it harder for us to keep things organised behind the scenes. So PLEASE READ through the information and tips below to help make this whole process easier for everyone – you included!

1. Choose how and when you’re helping with the show

People’s Art Fair (PAF) is a collaborative project, so we ask that everyone sign up to cover at least one ‘behind-the-scenes’ shift, whether invigilating, helping hang, packing down, postering around town or assisting with admin. We can’t run this show without your help!

The rota is only editable on a desktop or via a stupid app, sorry. Please email us your shifts if you’re unable to add them yourself!

2. Promote the show

Share the website link, and follow us on the socials so you can like, share & comment on posts promoting the People’s Art Fair. More hype = more visitors!

We’ll have posters & flyers available from PRSC soon, but if you have your own printer access, here’s a printable PDF version of the poster »

3. Deliver your art – Monday 20 April between 13:00 – 20:00

Please deliver your artwork to PRSC Space on Monday 20 April between 13:00 – 20:00. If you absolutely cannot get to this, you’ll need to arrange an earlier drop-off with us.

Please complete the art log before you come (password: 4pr1l) so we can sign everything in properly – and allow some time for this, you’ll need to stay while we check everything is as it should be.

Tips on preparing your art

How many arts? The limit is THREE pieces of art for hanging in the show.

Can it hang? Your artwork needs to be ready to hang, so please ensure it has appropriate fixings to attach it to the wall.

Pricing: Please choose either a fixed figure (eg. £5) or Not for Sale/NFS. Our till system is unable to accommodate pay-what-you-can, silent auctions, etc. Make sure your price allows for PRSC’s 40% commission.

Naming your artworks: Each of your pieces for this show needs a unique name otherwise it breaks our admin system! So if you’re going for something like “Untitled” for all your pieces, please make it “Untitled 1″, Untitled 2” and so on. The same goes for any extras like prints, make it A4 Print or £20 Print for example.

Images: A photograph of each piece is required for online display. Please crop out as much background as you can, leaving just the artwork. We prefer a square image but will edit where necessary. Maximum file size is 3mb (make your images smaller). Tips on photographing your art »

Dimensions: If you don’t know these, just make an estimate in inches, centimetres or by comparing it to a known thing like A4… ‘big’ and ‘small’ aren’t gonna work!

Delivery: Please bring your artworks in a bag for life, box or similar so that we can easily keep your pieces together. Bonus points if your name is on it somewhere visible – necessary if you want your same packaging/bag/box back after the show.

Gift Shop: Alongside your exhibition pieces, we will accept up to 30 ‘extras’ such as prints & cards – all of these must be individually wrapped/packaged, and clearly labelled with your name and the item price.

Don’t forget to complete the art log before you deliver your art to us » (p/w: 4pr1l)

4. Collect your art

You can collect your artwork from PRSC on either Tuesday 5 May between 15:30 – 18:00 or Wednesday 6 May between 11:30 – 15:00. If you absolutely cannot make these times, you’ll need to arrange an alternate collection time with us.
