Donations for local rough sleepers
As part of our weekly Street Survival sessions we offer a tent and blanket exchange for local rough sleepers, so we are always in need of more supplies.
Do you have an unused tent or sleeping bag you could donate to help someone get through the cold, wet, wintery nights? We also accept good waterproof coats.
If you have a tent which is missing poles, pegs or a top sheet, please label it as missing pieces and bring it in anyway. From four ‘missing pieces’ tent donations we may be able to make three fully working tents.
If you would like to support the blanket exchange but have no tents or sleeping bags to donate, we also distribute toiletries – toothpaste, toothbrushes, sanitary products, razors, dry shampoo etc and we are always happy to receive more of these useful items.
Street Survival is a skill-sharing or self-help session for local rough-sleepers, held in the PRSC Space on Tuesday afternoons from 2-4pm, where long-term homeless people are invited to share their survival skills, tips and tricks with people finding themselves on the streets for the first time.
The work PRSC does is entirely self-funded, through sales from Stokes Croft China and our event Space. Due to the current Covid-19 measures these are both temporarily closed, so please donate if you can.
