Being Brit-ish: A Youth-Led Photography Exhibition

Join us for Being Brit-ish, a youth-led photography exhibition delivered through Babbasa’s Challenge programme, championing youth-led social action and creative expression.
This event brings together young people’s visual responses to questions of identity, belonging, and what it means to be British today. Set against a backdrop of increasing hostility towards refugees and people seeking asylum, the exhibition invites audiences to reflect on and reimagine a more inclusive, multicultural Britain.
Through photography, storytelling, and open dialogue, Being Brit-ish explores diverse perspectives and lived experiences, offering a bold vision for a more connected and compassionate society.
What to expect:
- Photography celebrating British and cultural heritage taken by the young activists
- Youth and community-led panel discussions
- Live performances and spoken word
- A curated film screening
- Music throughout the evening
- Free food and networking opportunities with creatives, practitioners, and community members
Guests are warmly encouraged to celebrate their heritage by wearing cultural attire.
