Parents Basement: Helen & Riordan DJ

Saturday 9 March, 2019 @ 20:00 - 22:00

5

Parent’s Basement is Bristol’s home for state-side style longform improv, featuring some of the funniest improvisers the South West has to offer. Our house team perform sketches directly inspired from stories told by a guest monologist, then in the second half, a fully improvised theatrical comedy will be performed by a special guest troupe.

This month we have Chortle’s Lad of the Year Riordan DJ kicking the doors off the show with the highest of artforms; Stand-up Comedy. Our house team WAITING FOR BECKY will then get a monologue & get to work improvising the best sketches imaginable to the human mind.

After the break we have our headliners; the ubermensch known only as HELEN! They won our summer tournament, have started their own monthly night and are the only improv team I know who provide a home delivery service.

“Helen’s improvisational set reminded me of a powerful methadone withdrawal dream, where I visited each of my worst enemies and kissed them gently on the forehead. Twelve Stars.” – Eric Cantona for Improvisational Quarterly (December 2018)

All of this for only £5 on the door!
