People Just Do Something – live podcast

Tue 28 April, 2026 @ 19:00 - 21:30
£3

Tickets are available on Headfirst.

Description

We’re excited to be cohosting this live episode of the Bristol Cable’s podcast People Just Do Something!

Each episode of People Just Do Something attempts to untangle what it really means to effect change in Bristol, broken Britain, and beyond. For this live show they’ll be joined by the team from Life of the Party, the podcast taking listeners inside the debates, personalities and politics shaping the emerging left in the UK.

Together we’ll dig into the questions shaping the moment: What does the future of the British left actually look like? Can new political formations succeed where others have struggled? And what role do activists, organisers and local movements play in shaping what comes next?

What to expect

An entertaining discussion from the People Just Do Something podcast, followed by audience Q&A.

About Bristol Transformed

Bristol Transformed is a grassroots, volunteer-run, socialist education group. Bringing together activists, trade unionists, and everyone who wants to learn, we’re creating the space to discuss the most important issues facing us, equipping us with the skills and knowledge to transform Bristol and the world.

We run an annual festival of politics, arts and culture in May, and weekly events throughout the rest of the year. See all our events here.

Bristol Transformed is run by dozens of local people. Without new people coming in every year, we wouldn’t be able to maintain the same standard of political education events that you enjoy. If you’d be interested in joining us, sign up as a BT volunteer today and we’ll be in touch!
