TESCO BAILIFFS PART II
As far as I could see, from your own film, the authorities acted with commendable restraint in the face of a great deal of abuse and foul language from the protestors, who were for the most part fairly typical rentamob squattocrats. When I turned up late in the day, and engaged one of the protestors in discussion, he became frustrated by his own inability to express a cogent point of view, and threatened to knock my ‘fucking head off’. The police witnessed this exchange, and sensibly chose not to exercise their power to arrest him for threatening behaviour; mainly, I would imagine, because I was myself laughing at him.
How much did policing this cost? Who’s paying? I’m not keen on Tescos, but I’m not keen on threatening protests that require heavy (for the numbers) policing, either.
Im glad the ‘squattocrats’ (whatever that sweeping generalisation is supposed to mean?) were there to stand up be heard and seen when I could not be.
Tesco and other huge corporations like them care about one thing and one thing only, Profit.
They do not care who gets hurt along the way, only the pursuit of money matters to them. Does anyone think that is acceptable? If you do, look out because you could be the next insugnifficant statistic to be crushed/absorbed into their cartel.
If you pay your taxes you have every right to be concerned about the cost of policing these protests, but if nobody ever stood up and said “Hang on a minute, I think you have got that wrong and we need to rethink it” corporations with their huge resources would do whatever they wanted to gain more profit. The cost of this to all of us will be much greater in the end, trust me.
you lot did a fab job im sorry i was not there but keep fighting please AND never give up
we will win
