In October the local landmark affectionately known as Turbo Island was cleared and replaced with blank tarmac. This seems to be an attempt to reduce anti-social behaviour by reducing social behaviour, and is a logical progression in the great Bristol sanitisation programme that saw the Bearpit whitewashed. In response to this development some local creative types wrote these poems and sent them to the PRSC for judging. We are a bunch of independent minded (opinionated) individuals at the PRSC so to avoid fisticuffs in our staff meeting we present these poems below for public judgement.
