We’re often approached by street artists looking for walls to paint, so if you’ve got one you’d like a mural on, please let us know!

This particular shout-out is for MaryAnn Loo, a mural artist from Singapore, who is looking for a wall in or around Stokes Croft (or the surrounding areas) to install her second mural in Bristol – she recently painted a mural in Bedminster as part of Upfest this year, titled “The Bedminster Dream Tree”.

This was the ninth mural in her worldwide mural series “100 Dream Trees”, where her goal is to paint 100 Dream Tree murals in 100 places around the world.

Inspired by the places and stories in each location, MaryAnn paints each Dream Tree as a reminder for all to connect to their aspirations, pursue their passions, and live the life of their dreams!

MaryAnn shares:

“In our daily struggles, it’s easy to lose sight of who we are, and what truly matters to us. Through characters, symbols, and colourful whimsical scenes in my paintings and illustrations, I remind and inspire others (and myself) to keep seeking our truth and become the best possible version of ourselves.

The murals of “Project: 100 Dream Trees” celebrate our dreams and aspirations, which I believe are significant clues in helping us uncover our truth. By getting connected to our dreams and expressing our wishes through art, the murals are symbolic of our individual paths coming together in this collective adventure of finding our true selves, and evolving the world.”

Since 2018, MaryAnn has installed eight other Dream Tree murals in six countries: Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Singapore, and Spain.

She will be returning to Bristol in September, and is looking for a public exterior wall in or around Stokes Croft, or the surrounding area, to install her tenth Dream Tree mural.
