Dave “Steamer”, one of the crew that run the Lakota, tells us that they now have a two year lease on the property. This club is the backbone of the city’s Club scene, and this news is a great boost for Stokes Croft. Last year, Bristol City Council  gave permission for demolition of this historic building, despite Stokes Croft’s status as a Conservation Area. Perhaps the credit crunch has thrown the splendid old building a lifeline.

This week-end, a team of Bristol’s Finest reworked the Artwork on the exterior of the building. Stokes Croft’s status as an Outdoor Gallery and Centre of Excellence is enhanced enormously by the quality of this paint job.  The pictures speak for themselves.
