Press Release: An international exhibition of experimental photography will be coming to central Bristol at the Outdoor Gallery of the Peoples Republic of Stokes Croft on Jamaica St from the 3rd to the 16th of October.
Our latest mural was painted as a part of the Planet Repairs Action Learning Educational Revolution (PRALER) – PRSC’s Volunteer Co-ordinator Nils explains what it’s all about!
A project making visible otherwise hidden lockdown stories from precarious workers.
Join us in the PRSC Yard as we celebrate the launch of our Outdoor Exhibition. Get a bit messy with our paint jam, or just warm yourself by the fire whilst enjoying some music.
The PRSC Outdoor Exhibition is designed to provide an outlet for aspiring and established artists to showcase and sell their work, and to offer to the public the opportunity to purchase artworks at an affordable price. As well as providing a canvas for artists to exhibit their work and experiment with weatherproof techniques, the outdoor gallery aims to give local communities and passers-by a sense of ownership of the public space, challenging established ideas of private property and commercial enterprise. Hanging the work outside will mean it is vulnerable to vandalism and theft, therefore trust and respect are central elements of this exhibition.
Throughout July, we walked the streets of Bristol together, guiding young people to create images of how they view the city. Capturing the urban landscape, the group then worked together to create a mural through stencil graffiti art and mixed media. Come see Bristol through young eyes, gaining a new perspective of the city we love.
