Zine Making Workshop – School of Activism

Wed 10 April, 2019 @ 15:00 - 17:00

An accessible affordable way of sharing ideas and information totally independent of formal and commercial systems, the Zine has been the activist’s go to tool for ever.

Now in this era of global communication provided and monitored by huge international corporations, the simplicity and independence of the Zine is calling out to be revisited.

Zine fanatic Sophie Sherwood will share with you the art of creating this classic, low-fi, DIY form of publication.

Everyone is welcome to this workshop (kids under 14 must remember to bring an adult with them).
Materials and equipment will be provided, but please bring old magazines etc for some old-school cutting an pasting.

Standard price is £8, some places available at £4 buy tickets here:

The School of Activism is a 2 week programme of workshops, talks and activities brought to you by Peoples Republic of Stokes Croft over the Easter holidays (April 5 to 22). The workshops are intended to be empowering experiences equipping people with the tools to challenge the status quo, contest power structures and ultimately to change the world.
We learn by doing.
We make our own future.
